This generation Edge came in two models: Factory-installed HID's, and regular halogen headlights. Factory HID models use D3S bulbs, available in all colours. Factory HID models use a single bulb for high and low.
Factory halogen Ford Edges use H11 lowbeam bulbs, 9005 highbeam bulbs. Lowbeams can be upgraded plug and play with both HID and LED. Highbeams can only be upgraded to LED because of the Daytime Running Light system. LED's come only in 6000K, if you are matching a lowbeam and/or foglight kit to LED highs, consider a higher kelvin rating for your HID's.
55W HID's are brightest but can have cold-start issues below -30C. If you live in northern Canada, consider a 35w HID kit or LED's. For most Canadians, a lowbeam 55w HID is the best place to start. If you live in a rural area, highbeam LED's can be added. This generation Edge does not have foglights.
