The Cadillac ATS came in two models: Factory-installed HID's, and regular halogen headlights. Factory HID models use D3S bulbs, available in all colours. Factory HID models use a single bulb for high and low.
Factory halogen ATS' use 9012 bulbs in a projector lens. These projector headlights not only offer the best possible optics, but do high and low using a single bulb. For our purposes, this means a single kit converts both lowbeams and highbeams, plug and play. Don't be fooled by your dim halogen bulbs, these are the best headlights ever fitted to a Cadillac, they just need a powerful light source. As with all projector lenses, we recommend an HID kit, as omnidirectional light sources energize projectors to get the best possible beam pattern. LED's will also work, but aren't quite as bright as a 55w kit. 55W HID's can have cold-start issues below -30C. If you live in northern Canada, consider a 35w HID kit or LED's. For most Canadians, a 55w HID is the best option.
