Nissan HID Headlight Bulb Guide — D2S Replacement for Altima, Maxima, Murano, 370Z, GT-R & More

Nissan HID Headlight Bulb Replacement Guide

Nissan factory HID headlamps almost exclusively use D2S in projector housings across all HID-equipped models (Nissan/Infiniti OE 26297-9B91A / 26297-89900 / 26297-9B90A; Osram 66240, Philips 85122). Many Nissan models in the same year were sold with halogen or full LED headlamps; this guide covers factory HID-equipped trims only. Always confirm the D-code stamped on your existing capsule before ordering.

Factory HID Models (Nissan)

Altima
L33 (2013–2018 SL / Tech Package with factory HID) — D2S projector HID low-beam; the majority of L33 Altima trims in Canada use halogen headlamps — confirm you have the HID package before ordering.

Maxima
A35 (2009–2014 SV / SR with factory HID) — D2S projector HID low-beam; lower trims used halogen in the same years.

Murano
Z51 (2009–2014 LE with factory HID) — D2S projector HID low-beam; non-LE trims used halogen. The Z52 (2015+) moved to LED on upper trims and does not use D-series HID bulbs.

Rogue
T32 (2014–2020 SL / Platinum HID-equipped trims) — D2S projector HID low-beam; confirm the bulb type by reading the code on your existing capsule before ordering, as not all T32 trim levels include factory HID.

370Z
Z34 (2009–2020 Touring / Sport with factory HID) — D2S projector HID low-beam (Nissan OE 26297-9B91A).

GT-R
R35 (2009–2022) — D2S projector HID low-beam (Nissan OE 26297-9B91A); the GT-R was one of the earliest Nissan models to receive factory D2S HID as standard equipment.

Nissan HID Headlight FAQs

My 2013 Altima has HID headlights. What bulb does it use?
The 2013–2018 L33 Altima with factory HID uses D2S. Note that most Altima trims in Canada came with halogen headlamps in the same years — only the SL and Tech Package trims received factory HID. If you are unsure, check behind the headlamp housing for a ballast module.

Does the 2009–2014 Murano use HID on all trims?
No — factory HID on the Z51 Murano was fitted to the LE trim. Other trims used halogen. If your Murano has factory HID, it uses D2S.

What OEM part number does the Nissan GT-R / 370Z use?
Both the R35 GT-R and Z34 370Z use Nissan OE 26297-9B91A, which cross-references to Osram 66240 and Philips 85122 — both available as D2S OEM replacement bulbs.

Not sure which bulb your Nissan needs?
The bulb code is stamped on the base of the capsule. If you cannot access it easily, send us your VIN or call 647‑547‑1962 and we will confirm the correct type before you order.
