Jaguar HID Headlight Bulb Replacement Guide

Jaguar fitted factory Xenon ("Bi-Xenon") headlights across XF, XJ, XK, F-Type, F-Pace and XE from 2008 onward, making HID nearly universal on upper and mid-grade trims through the mid-2010s. Pre-facelift cars used D1S (Osram 66144, Philips 85410); facelift and post-2012 cars switched to the mercury-free D3S (Jaguar OE C2D5254; Osram 66340, Philips 42302). D1S and D3S are not interchangeable — they run on different voltages (85V vs 42V) and have incompatible ballasts. Some online retailers incorrectly list C2D5254 as D1S; it is a D3S capsule. Always read the code printed on your existing bulb before ordering.
