Buick HID Headlight Bulb Guide — D1S, D3S Replacement for Enclave, LaCrosse, Regal & Cascada
Buick HID Headlight Bulb Replacement Guide
This guide only covers Buick vehicles that left the factory with HID low-beam headlights. Many Buick trims in the same years were sold with halogen or LED headlamps instead, and any vehicle that started with halogen and was later converted will not use a factory D-series HID bulb as its original low-beam. Always confirm by checking the bulb code on the capsule or housing before ordering. Call 647-547-1962 if you want help confirming it.
For Buick factory HID applications in this guide, early D1S-equipped models typically cross-reference common OE and service numbers such as Philips 85410, Osram 66144, GM 19351942, 25911883, 13503430 and 13503387, while later D3S-equipped models commonly cross-reference Philips 42302, Osram 66340 and GM 13587843 or 13503432. Match the bulb code on the base first, then use the OE part number as a secondary check.[web:158][web:159]

FAQs
Is my 2013 Enclave D1S or D3S?
2013 is the transition year, so it must be checked manually. Early 2013 Enclave HID setups are commonly listed as D1S, while refreshed 2013 applications are commonly listed as D3S. Remove the bulb and read the printed code before ordering, or call 647-547-1962.
Does my Regal GS have HID standard?
On 2011–2013 Regal GS, HID was tied to higher trim or optioned headlamps and uses D1S where factory HID is present. On 2014–2017 refreshed Regal HID models, the factory bulb is D3S.
My LaCrosse is 2014 — can I install D1S?
No. Early LaCrosse factory HID applications use D1S, but the 2014 refresh moved to D3S on factory HID trims, so D1S is not the correct replacement for a 2014 factory HID LaCrosse.
How do I confirm my Buick has factory HID?
If the car left the factory with HID, the low-beam bulb will be marked D1S or D3S on the bulb base. A halogen Buick that was converted later will not follow this guide. If you want help checking it before ordering, call 647-547-1962.
