This relay wiring harness allows an HID to be powered directly from the battery. On some vehicles like ram trucks and some jeeps, the kit will not work correctly without this harness. On most other vehicles installation of this relay is optional, but can improve cold weather performance. If you have received this harness with your HID kit but are not sure you need it, try the standard direct connect method first, and drive the vehicle for 20 minutes during the day to ensure the headlights are working before using them at night. If your headlights turn off after 20 minutes or flicker, install this harness.
If one or both of your HID bulbs fail to start, check the polarity at the ballast input power connector and the relay side factory connector, and if this doesn’t help contact us for more assistance
