This generation Jeep Cherokee came in two models: Factory-installed HID's, and regular halogen headlights.
Factory HID models use D3S bulbs, available in all colours. Factory HID models use a single bulb for high and low. Foglights use 5202 bulbs and can be upgraded to 35w HID or LED Plug and Play. 55w HID's produce too much heat for these small foglight housings.
Factory halogen Cherokees use a single bulb in a projector for high and low. This means a single kit will convert both lowbeams and highbeams. 2014 and 2015's use 9012 bulbs, 2016 and newer cherokees use 9005's. As with all projector housings, HID's are recommended for best beam pattern. LED's, although bright, are not omnidirectional light sources, and have degraded performance in projector lenses. 55W HID's are brightest but can have cold-start issues below -30C. If you live in northern Canada, talk to us about a 35w kit. Foglights use 5202 bulbs and can be upgraded to 35w HID or LED Plug and Play. 55w HID's produce too much heat for these small foglight housings. Headlight bulbs are 55w halogen from factory.
