This is a wiring relay for an HID kit. If you are purchasing an entire kit, you do not need to purchase these, they are included with each full kit purchase.
This kit comes with a harness with 5 connectors
1) Positive battery terminal connection (built in fluse)
2) Negative connection (ground)
3) Input wire (trigger wire)
4) Output, driver side ballast
5) Output, passenger side ballast
The relay is Plug and Play. You plug the trigger wire (#3) into your stock wiring, 1&2 to your battery, and 3&4 to the ballasts. This wiring harness will draw power from your battery, not your stock wiring to power the HID's. It will, however, use the trigger wire, to turn on/off your headlights using the same switch inside your car as it did before. This relay is particularly useful for cars with weak alternators, big stereo systems or frayed wiring.
Note: If you are ordering a hi/lo wiring relay (two stage bulb with built in halogen highbeam) you will recieve 1 additional peice of wire to plug the highbeam on whichever side the relay is not plugged into.
